Combat Art: Motionless Escrima Image
Prerequisite: Tavern Brawler

You have mastered the art of using an Immovable Rod as a weapon, treating it as an extension of your body in combat. You can treat an Immovable Rods as a club and it gains the Finesse property when wielded by you.

While wielding two Immovable Rods, you gain the following benefits:

  • Enhanced Strikes: The damage die of an Immovable Rod increases by one step (e.g., from 1d4 to 1d6, or from 1d6 to 1d8 if using Martial Arts).
  • Reinforced Defense: You gain a Damage Threshold equal to your Dexterity modifier + Proficiency Bonus against melee and ranged weapon attacks (damage below this threshold is negated).
  • Unyielding Block (1/Short Rest): When you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to press an Immovable Rod into place, forcing the attacking creature to make a DC 30 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the rod blocks the attack, reducing the damage to 0. The rod remains locked until the start of your next turn, and you lose the benefits of wielding two Immovable Rods while it is locked in place.
