You have heard tale of or met many people with a variety of lives and situations. Often cases, one characterises themselves as lucky or unlucky when describing hardship or feats in their lives. You have never truly empathised with this as your luck has always seemed so unbelievably balanced. 

When you roll an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check, you can choose to replace the result with a natural twenty. This must be done before hearing the result of the roll from the DM, but can be done after you roll. After using this ability, the DM is given the special ability to replace one of your d20 rolls with a natural 1. You cannot reuse this ability until your DM has issued the natural 1.
