You are marked as Mak’Bhal’s chosen vessel—a fusion of nature’s wrath and divine will. This boon is a sacred brand upon your spirit, entwining the primal magic of the jungle with the black flame of judgment.
Boons & Features:
1. Dragon’s Blood, Serpent’s Spirit
-
You gain resistance to fire or necrotic damage (your choice when you gain the boon).
-
You learn Draconic if you don’t already know it.
-
You can speak to snakes, serpentine beasts, and drakes as if under Speak with Animals, always on—but only for such creatures.
2. Scales of Judgment (1/Long Rest)
-
As a bonus action, you can invoke Mak’Bhal’s judgment, cloaking yourself in a mantle of obsidian scale and shadow for 1 minute.
-
While active:
-
You gain +1 AC and deal an additional 1d6 fire or necrotic damage on all melee weapon or spell attacks.
-
If you reduce a creature to 0 HP, all enemies within 10 ft must succeed on a Wisdom save (DC = 8 + Prof + Wis or Cha mod) or become Frightened until the end of your next turn.
-
3. Avatar's Bond
-
You may cast Sanctuary or Entangle (your choice) once per long rest without expending a spell slot. Wisdom is your casting stat for these spells.
-
These count as always prepared if you are a Cleric or Paladin of Mak’Bhal.
4. Aura of the Onyx Flame (Passive)
-
Allies within 10 ft of you gain advantage on saving throws against being Frightened or Charmed by undead or aberrations.
-
This aura expands to 30 ft at level 10.
