Increase your Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20. A potent tool for punishment and combat, you have extended your skill with whips to allow for more nuanced interactions.
You gain the following benefits:
• You may utilize your whip when taking the Use an Object action to manipulate simple mechanisms such as levers and buttons.
• As a bonus action, you may retrieve tiny objects from willing creatures that are in range of your whip.
• In place of an attack, you may attempt to disarm a foe by using your whip. The target must make a Strength saving throw. The DC is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Str or Dex modifier (your choice). On a failure, the target drops one object of your choice that it is holding which then lands at its feet. You may use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all spent uses when you finish a short or long rest.
• You may grapple a creature using your whip. When you do so, the creature’s speed does not become 0 but rather it may not move further away from you than it was when you grappled it.
In addition, you have learned to utilize longer expert-level whips with double the range of a normal whip. These whips may be acquired from anywhere you could normally purchase a whip and cost double the amount of a normal whip.
