Boon of the Affection System

“The heart moves worlds. The stronger your bonds, the stronger your power.”

You've awakened a mysterious system that tracks your relationships and converts emotional connections into real strength. At first glance, it seems harmless, maybe even silly—but this system is anything but weak.

Core Feature – Affection Tracker

You can view the Affection Level of any sentient being you interact with. Affection ranges from -100 (Hatred) to +100 (Unbreakable Devotion). The higher the Affection Level someone has toward you, the more powerful the benefits.

You may view a simplified emotional readout of any creature within 120 feet of you. This readout includes:

• Their current Affection Level

• A one-word emotional state

• A visual cue (e.g., heart icon, aura glow) only visible to you

Bond Effects (Passive Bonuses)

These effects scale depending on the number of people with +50 Affection or higher toward you:

• 1+ Affectionate Bond – You can communicate telepathically with bonded individuals within 500 feet.

• 3+ – You gain a +1 bonus to all saving throws.

• 5+ – You gain a pool of d6s equal to your Charisma modifier. You may give one of these to any bonded ally once per short rest as a reaction to add to any roll.

• 10+ – All bonded allies gain advantage on saving throws vs. fear or charm effects while within 60 feet of you.

• 20+ – You and bonded allies may automatically succeed one death saving throw per long rest.

Affection Boon Burst (Active Power)

Once per long rest, you can tap into the combined affection of your bonded allies. As an action, you gain a temporary transformation for 1 minute:

• Gain resistance to all damage.

• Your spell and attack rolls have advantage.

• You radiate a Heart Aura (30 ft radius): Allies in this aura regain 10 HP at the start of their turn and add +1d4 to all attack rolls and saving throws.

Omniversal Affection (Growth Mechanic)

As your Affection System matures, it expands to connect across the multiverse.

• At Tier 2: You can begin forming bonds with beings across the Omniverse (anime, comics, etc.). These connections may manifest as dream encounters, visions, or avatars.

• Omniversal Affection Allies – Once per long rest, you may summon a temporary avatar of a bonded Omniversal ally to assist you (e.g., an anime swordsman, a comic book tech genius, a space-time sorceress). They last 1 minute or until defeated. System designs stats but should scale to challenge level.

• You can eventually summon beings or avatars from alternate universes such as:

  • A symbiote from Marvel

  • A stand from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

  • A miniaturized tailed beast from Naruto

  • A scout drone from Star Wars

  • A persona from Persona 5

• You may only have one active summon at a time.

• Duplicate Pulls

  • If you roll a summon you’ve already received before, it is "converted" into Upgrade Shards, which enhance your existing summons:

    • +1 duration

    • +1 AC or attack modifier

    • Unlocks a new ability

Growth Path:

• Divine Heart Sync – Form a permanent bond with a godlike figure (gain a Legendary Resistance per day).

• Affinity Fusion – Temporarily fuse with a bonded individual, gaining their traits or powers for 1 minute.

• Emotional Overdrive – You may activate Bond Burst as a reaction if an ally would drop to 0 HP.
