Echo of the Silent Wing

Prerequisite: Proficiency in Arcana or Religion, must have interacted with the Scroll of Ancestry, must be a necromancer or have cast a necromancy spell.

You have uncovered ancient rites practiced by the Silent Wing monks, soulbinders who once preserved balance between life and death. Through your communion with the dead, your study of forbidden rites, and the whisper of Hades in your ear, you’ve learned to channel ancestral echoes into tangible power.

✦ Ancestral Echo

Once per long rest, you can perform a 10-minute ritual using the Scroll of Ancestry or an ancestral relic. Choose one:

• Echoform Summoning – You summon a spectral manifestation of an ancestral soul. It appears in an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you and uses the Specter stat block (MM). It lasts for 1 minute or until reduced to 0 HP. On its turn, you may use a bonus action to command it; otherwise, it defends itself but takes no action.

• Soul Infusion – Choose a construct, undead you control, or a magical item. It gains a fragment of ancestral will until your next long rest. For this duration:

  • Undead/Constructs gain temporary HP equal to your Intelligence modifier + your level.

  • Magic items gain an eerie glow and grant a +1 bonus to saving throws or spell attack rolls for the duration.

✦ Eyes of the Soulbinder

You can cast speak with dead once per long rest without expending a spell slot or material components, but only on creatures with a known lineage or spiritual significance.

Additionally, you learn the detect evil and good spell and can cast it as a ritual. While this spell is active, you also sense the presence of any creature with Echo-Blooded ancestry (such as descendants of the Silent Wing monks) within 30 feet.

✦ Path to the God of Death

Each time you complete a long rest near a battlefield, graveyard, or site of ancestral magic, roll a d20. On a 19–20, you receive a whispered omen or instruction from Hades (or your DM), granting you:

• Advantage on your next Arcana or Religion check related to necromancy or ancestry, or

• A vision related to an Echo-Blooded soul or an ancient relic.
