“In a moment of desperation, the tale takes a new turn. Whether by fate, force of will, or the invisible hand of the Author, you are given a chance to reshape what was written.”
You have been granted a rare gift — the subtle hand of fate guiding your story’s arc. Once per story (this adventure), you may call upon the Author’s Favor to shift the outcome of a pivotal moment. When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you may choose to roll an additional d20 and choose which die to use.
You may choose to do this after the initial roll, but before the DM declares the result.
You may only use Author’s Favor once per adventure.
