Due to your secure connections with the Remnants within your operating system, you can summon your preferred Remnant at will, and you are now able to access some of their specialized abilities. Code-Share can be used a number of times per day equal to your proficiency bonus, and each use of Code-Share lasts for a maximum of 1 hour. Activating a Code-Share costs a Bonus Action, and it requires a Bonus Action or Action to deactivate.
Code-Share: Naos
Tough. The User's hit point maximum increases by 2x their combined level and proficiency bonus, and the User has advantage on Constitution saving throws.
Heavy Build. The User has advantage on strength checks. Unarmed strikes deal damage equal to 1d6+strength modifier, and the damage is doubled against objects and structures. Strength-based weapon attacks deal an extra 1d6 damage.
Resistant. The User becomes resistant to one type of elemental damage for the duration of the Code-Share: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder.
Code-Share: Pollux
Eloquent. The User gains expertise in Persuasion, Deception, and Intimidation. Any roll of a d20 that is less than 10 is treated as a 10, and any penalties to Charisma checks are ignored.
Linguist. For the duration of the Code-Share, the User is fluent in one language of their choice, both spoken and written. If speaking to a creature in its native language, the User gains advantage on Charisma checks with that creature.
Quick-witted. A bad situation can be reversed if the User thinks quickly enough. If the User or an allied creature within hearing distance of the User fails a Charisma or Intelligence check or saving throw, they can roll an additional d20 and use the higher of the rolls. This feature can be used a maximum of 3 times per long rest.
Code-Share: Shaula
Evasive. Opportunity attacks are made against the User with disadvantage. The User gains advantage on Dexterity checks and saving throws.
Agile. The User's walking speed increases by 10, and the User has a climbing speed equal to their new walking speed. Difficult terrain is treated as normal terrain.
Shadow-built. For the duration of the Code-Share, the User has Darkvision as well as expertise in Stealth. Any penalties to Stealth, including disadvantage, are ignored. If the User successfully attacks a surprised enemy, that attack is treated as a critical hit.
CAUTION:
If the User takes enough damage to be knocked unconscious while a Code-Share is active, the Remnant in question may suffer irreparable damage. If this occurs, roll a d20 to see what effect occurs, as listed below.
Roll 1-4: The connected Remnant is permanently destroyed and can never be summoned again. The relevant Code-Share is permanently disabled.
Roll 5-10: The connected Remnant is severely damaged and can no longer be summoned at will. One of the abilities within the Code-Share is permanently disabled (roll a d6: 1-2 is the first ability, 3-4 is the second ability, and 5-6 is the third ability). The User must roll a 15 or higher on a d20 to summon the connected Remnant in the future. On a fail, no Echo or Remnant appears, and if in combat, the bonus action used to summon it is wasted. If this Remnant has previously taken damage, the connected Remnant is instead permanently destroyed, can never be summoned again, and the relevant Code-Share is permanently disabled.
Roll 11-15: The connected Remnant is damaged and can no longer be summoned at will. The User must roll a 6 or higher on a d20 to summon that particular Remnant. On a fail, no Echo or Remnant appears, and if in combat, the bonus action used to summon it is wasted.
Roll 16-20: The connected Remnant cannot be summoned for 1d4 days, but is otherwise undamaged.
