You gain +1 to your Strength, Dexterity or Constitution Score.

When wielding a whip you gain the following benefits:

1. The whip gains the Topple Mastery and you are Proficient with the Topple and Slow Mastery while wielding the whip. You can choose to use the Topple or Slow Mastery whenever you make an Attack.

2. When you make an Attack with the whip, you can choose to attempt to Disarm the creature. You force the creature to make a Strength saving throw against your Whip Save (8 + Str or Dex Modifier + Proficiency Bonus). On a failure, you force the creature to drop one thing they are carrying. If a creature fails by 5 or more, you retrieve the weapon or item so long as you have a free hand.

3. When you make an Attack with the whip, you can choose to Grapple the creature if they are no more than one size larger than yourself. On a hit, the creature is Grappled. As an Action, they can attempt to break the Grapple by making a Strength save against your Whip Save (8 + Str or Dex Modifier + Proficiency Bonus). On a success, the Grapple is broken. While a creature is Grappled by you in this way, you can use a Bonus Action to pull them 5 feet closer to you.

4. You can attempt to retrieve an item within the range of the whip. If the item is not carried or worn, you automatically succeed and retrieve the item so long as you have a free hand. If you do not have a free hand, it falls in a random location within 5 feet of you. If the item is being worn or carried, you force the creature to make a Strength Saving Throw against your Whip Save (8 + Str or Dex Modifier + Proficiency Bonus). On a failure, the creature looses the item in a random location within 5 feet of you. If they fail by 5 or more, you retrieve the item from the creature so long as you have a free hand.

5. You can use your whip to affix to low limbs, bars or similar structures to assist with obstacles without requiring skill checks. You can climb a distance equal to the reach of the whip or swing a distance equal to three times the reach of the whip.

6. Creatures provoke an opportunity attack from you when they enter the reach you have with the whip.
