Prerequisite: INT 10
 
If you violate the contract's terms in a vow with yourself, you'll only lose the benefits gained.
Anyone who violates the terms of a vow between two or more PCs suffers dire consequences. The DM may decide the nature of these penalties, which could include:
The creature who broke the contract permanently loses an amount of maximum hit points decided by the DM.
The creature who broke the vow permanently loses an amount of maximum Ki points or Hit dice or any feature such as spell slots or the sort related to the vow decided by the DM.
The creature who broke the vow suffers a reduction in one or more ability scores, determined by the DM.
 
You can have a maximum number of Vows equal to 1 + your Intelligence modifier, a minimum of 2 at a time. During a Short or Long rest, you can end a number of Vows equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1).
 
Solo Vows
Through a Solo Vow, Someone can willingly imposes a restriction upon their own body, Ki Points, Spell slots, Features, or abilities in exchange for greater power, efficiency, or specialization.
 
Technique Vows
These vows specifically modify or limit someone's techniques, features, spells or actions, usually placing conditions or drawbacks on its usage to unlock greater potency, unique functions, or reduced cost.
 
Multiple Person Vows
By forging a vow with others, people can share risks and rewards, creating powerful bonds that are above individual strength. These vows might involve shared techniques, shared abilities, shared features, shared actions, conditional alliances, or mutual restrictions, and the consequences for breaking them are often severe for breaker.
