Hexblooded Rite Image
Prerequisite: Requires Hex Warrior

You have learned to invoke a forbidden rite that binds your life force to your weapon, sacrificing your own vitality in exchange for overwhelming power. Once per short rest, you may perform a hexblooded rite as follows:

Bloodletting Channel

  • As a bonus action, choose a melee weapon you are holding.
  • Roll the weapon’s base damage dice (e.g., 2d6 for a greatsword, 1d8 for a longsword).
  • You take unavoidable damage equal to the result. This damage cannot be reduced or healed by any means other than a long rest.

Until the end of your turn:

  • The next melee weapon attack you hit with deals additional damage equal to the damage you suffered, of either necrotic, force, or the same damage of the weapon used to cast hexblooded rite (you choose when activating the rite).

Critical Surge

If the empowered attack is a critical hit, the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be blinded until the end of its next turn.

 Bloodburn Limitation.

You can only use this rite once per short rest. If you attempt to use this feat again before completing a long rest (via magical duplication, DM approval, etc.), you must first succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or gain 1 level of exhaustion from blood loss and arcane backlash.

Note: This feat requires manual tracking of temporary damage and bonus effects. Roll damage dice for your weapon to determine health loss and bonus damage manually.
