You have inherited a divine ability of your patron. This ability allows you to cast a Divine Counter on yourself at will, without needing a material component. A wall of light/shadow (dependent on Patron's alignment and area of influence) is created between you and the source of the attack in a single direction. The effect is determined by a d4 roll.
- Unstable: You and the enemy both must succeed their attack's modifying score DC 15 Saving Throw or receive full damage of that attack as force damage.
- Permeable: Enemy must succeed their attack's modifying score DC 18 Saving Throw or receive full damage of that attack as force damage. You take the damage reduced by 1d12. (effect increases by +3 for every 5 of the Player Character's Level).
- Solid: Enemy must succeed their attack's modify score DC 21 Saving Throw or receive full damage of their attack as force damage and be knocked backwards 10ft. You take the damage reduced by 1d12. (effect increases by +6 for every 5 of the Player Character's Level).
- True: Enemy must succeed their attack's modify score DC 25 Saving Throw or receive the critical damage of their attack as force damage and be launched backwards 20ft and knocked prone. They are considered Stunned until the start of the next turn, negating end of turn actions or reactions.
The effect can be used 1d4-1 times within a day (rolled each dawn or evening) and must be chosen before you know if the attack hits. AoE effects are unaffected unless the point of origin is intercepted with a roll of 3 or 4 (ex. Fireball shot directly at your person, the bead can be reflected).
"I've witnessed many a thing in my life that one could call a miracle, but the commonality of divine intervention in combat perturbs me greatly. Far too many divine hands in too many lowly cookie jars, I'd say." Oren Von Bosch, Grand Alchemist/Philosopher, "Our Mortal Status: Sorceries and Divinity"
