Increase three ability scores of your choice by 1. None of these increases can raise a score above 20.
This feat exists in order to create custom 2024 backgrounds. I couldn't find a better way to achieve this

Posted Jun 9, 2025Can't you just manually adjust stats during ability generation? The 'Other Modifier' option? That's how I do it if the 'customise origin' thing doesn't work on the species stats anyway.

Posted Jun 9, 2025Well yeah that's a fair point, you definitely can, even though it's a bit more work for the players. However I wanted to replicate the behavior of real backgrounds as closely as possible and make it as easy as possible for my players to use them.
I created this feat in combination with a +2/+1 feat, so the players can choose which ability scores to increase, and by how much, just like real backgrounds allow you to do.
