Physical Characteristics
More pallid skin and increased hair growth.
Slightly more muscular and athletic.
Characters that don’t already have sharp teeth or pointed ears also develop them.
The infected humanoid develops a mild allergy to silver and wolfsbane, even when in their base form. This manifests in becoming itchy when touching it and developing a rash or blisters after longer exposure.
Nocturnal Torment (effect)
When you take a long rest, you must make a Constitution saving throw DC 10.
On a failed roll you transform into hybrid form at a random point during the rest, attacking the nearest creature. Your actions and bonus actions can only be used to attack others.
You can repeat the Constitution saving throw at the beginning of each of your turns.
On a successful Constitution save you manage to control the beast within and revert back to your humanoid form.
You gain all the benefits of a long rest if you succeed on a Constitution saving throw.
To recall the events of this transformation, you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw DC 10, and increases +1 for each failed Con save.
On your next Long rest you gain a +1 to the Constitution saving throw for every innocent you attacked on your last long rest.
Cure or Embrace
You have a choice to make: Cure or Embrace the curse of lycanthropy.
- Cure: The curse lasts until removed by a remove curse spell. If you do, you no longer gain any of the effects of this feat. If you gained it genetically then the only way to remove it is with Wish Spell.
- Embrace: Each night (Long Rest) when you succeed on a Constitution saving throw (Nocturnal Torment) you move one step closer to controlling the beast within. If you succeed with 5 consecutive Constitution Saving throws (Long Rest) you gain the ability to Shape-Shift on command and no longer suffer the effects of Nocturnal Torment.
Shape Change
Once mastered the character gains the ability to shape-shift as a bonus action into either a Hybrid form or a Wolf form once per long rest. When the character changes shape any non magical or specialized armor or clothing they are wearing is torn. Your game statistics, other than size, are the same in each form.
Resistance: You gain resistance to non-magical Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing attacks that aren’t silvered or from wolfsbane (Hybrid Form only).
Vulnerability: Attacks against you that are made with silvered or treated with wolfsbane weapons do maximum damage on a hit (All Forms).
Keen Hearing and Smell: You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell (All Forms).
Natural Armor: +1 to AC when in Hybrid Form.
Moon Cycles
Full Moon: On a full moon, the afflicted character must succeed on a Constitution Saving Throw or suffer the Nocturnal Torment effect DC 10 +1 for each innocent attacked. The curse is at its strongest whenever there is a Full Moon in the sky - at that time, if the character has not mastered it’s Lycanthropy, the infected character must make all saving throws that cycle at disadvantage to retain their sense of self.
