Your magical talents are more potent when using a spell focus or other implement. You gain the following benefits:
When you use a spell focus to cast a spell, your spell save DC increases by 1.
You can create a spell focus for your use by spending a short rest touching it. You may have a number of different spell focuses at a time equal to your spell casting modifier (minimum of 1.)
You gain 2 sorcery points. Choose either the Distant Spell or Extended Spell Metamagic discipline from the Sorcerer Metamagic list. (See Class - Sorcerer, Metamagic). You can choose to cast any spell you have prepared while using your spell focus implement as either a Distant Spell or Extended Spell at a cost of 1 sorcery point. If you already have the Metamagic class feature, you can only use the sorcery points you gain by this feat to perform a Metamagic function, not to create spell slots. You regain sorcery points you have spent after completing a long rest.
This feat can be used with any type of spell focus you can use: arcane (Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard), druidic (Druid / Ranger), holy symbol (Cleric / Paladin) or musical instrument (Bard).
