Boon of the Deathknight

Prerequisite: 11th level, martial weapon proficiency, must have died in battle or offered your soul to undeath

You have become a Deathknight—an immortal engine of war and vengeance.

Undead Nature
• Creature type becomes Undead.
• Immune to poison, disease, charmed, frightened, and exhaustion.
• Don’t age, eat, breathe, or sleep.

Soulbound Gear
• Your armor and weapons are part of you.
• Resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing.
• Weapons are magical, deal +1d8 necrotic damage, and cannot be disarmed.

Hex-Infused Strikes
• You may apply any of your hexes or curses (e.g. hex, bestow curse, Hexblade’s Curse) as part of the Attack action without consuming a resource.
• One curse per attack.
• If it normally requires save, it still does.

Soul Forge
- When a creature within 30 ft of you dies, you absorb their soul and gain a Soul Charge. These charges are never lost unless the Soul is taken from you (ex: a creature being revived by the Wish spell)
- You have an additional number of Warlock spell slots equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

Undying Hatred
• When reduced to 0 HP, make a DC 15 Constitution save.
• On success, drop to 1 HP and make a free melee weapon attack.
• 1/long rest.

Command the Dead
• Cast animate dead or summon undead once per long rest without components.
• You control twice the normal number of undead created by your own spells.

Immortal Curse
• You cannot be permanently killed. If your body is destroyed, it reforms in 1d10 days at a desecrated location of the DM’s choice (such as a battlefield or unholy site).
• To stop your return, a creature must destroy your soulbound weapon and armor, each requiring 10 minutes of destruction in hallowed ground.

Curses of the Damned
• Hallowed Weakness: In consecrated ground, you are under the effects of Bane and can’t regain HP.
• Unrested: You only benefit from long rests taken in dark or desecrated areas.
