Unexplainable Science: The Body & Mind Connection Phenomena
The exposure to gamma radiation before cryogenic stasis by Doc Einstein's experiments to create a Titan killing weapon have changed him. Genetic alterations during stasis have altered Einstein's DNA at a fundamental level. The strange and magical nature of Lustria has also made Doc feel and think strangely, and though he can sense something happening to him in his bones, science on this matter has failed him. ANNIBEL, Doc's faithful AI has informed him that microscopic green crystals have formed within his blood, the element of which is not listed on the periodic table of elements. This unknown element containing 133 atoms has a formation similar to that of the Mandelbrot set fractal. While scavenging for resources to trade with the locals and trying to find out how to fit into this strange new world, our small search party was attacked by silicon based xenophobes with sloped overlaying husks, chitinous in nature and a defense pattern not unlike that of ants defending their nest. Unfortunately our band of survivors could not escape them, nor could we overpower them and our doom seemed immanent. As I was perforated by many stabs of these giant ant like creatures, and I felt myself fade to black, I found myself standing in an oddly reflective water with no source of the light to be seen. A strange voice materialized into view as an emaciated figure of who's race I could not guess. Though his appearance was disturbing, his demeanor was quiet pleasant. This creature informed me his name was simply "grandfather", and that I had been spared death, for a purpose not yet to be revealed to me. He explained that this "dimension" which we were standing in was just as real as the one I came from, and parts of it his dimension spill into ours in different ways. He told me the combined memories, souls, and thoughts of all creatures are what creates the magic which my science cannot explain and manifests itself in the real world. If I can truly know a thing, speak its true name, and draw upon grandfathers plane, It will be done in the common plane... The "Grandfather" told me to travel northwest to see “HER” (whatever that means), and beyond the land of giants. My desire now is to bring peace to a world that seems lost in chaos, or maybe I'm raging against the chaos. Saving lives, making friends, and building civilization is something you do one step at a time, one day after another. One thing is for certain, the course of this strange & new wonderful world of Lustria has been altered greatly by unexplained magic... for better or for worse, none may yet tell...
- You can perform the somatic components of spells even when you have weapons or a shield in one or both hands.
- You add your proficiency bonus in HP to all spells with the "Healing" tag.
- You may cast Spare the Dying as a bonus action with a range of 30ft.
- You gain proficiency in constitution saves.
- You have Advantage on constitution saves resulting from damage.
- You may concentrate on 2 spells; however, roll for both upon taking damage.
- Once per turn you MAY do ONE of the following a number of times equal to your WIS modifier:
(charges regained after a long rest)- Cast a healing spell as a bonus action.
- Cast your next healing spell with max affect.
- When you cast a healing spell, you may consume any spell slot still available with highest known level affect for that spell.
- Cast a healing spell as your reaction when you or a friendly creature within 30ft takes damage.
- Cause a cleric spell to double its duration.
