Goddess Of Eyes Image

Marked by the Goddess of Eyes, you’ve been blessed with the Eyes of Serene. Though this ability has been latent and triggered only by during times of true need or desire, your dedication and prayers have not gone unheard. You gain the following:

• Your eyesight has majorly improved. Your dark vision extends an extra 30ft, and you can sense the outlines of invisible creatures. An invisible creature must roll a save of 13 + the level of invisibility spell when entering your field of vision. If failed, you will notice a faint outline or a disruption in your vision.

•You are able to read extremely small letters and can read standard book text from 120ft away.

•Once per long rest, you can channel your cursemark to make an attempt to see throughout the world using the Eyes of Serene. The success of the attempt depends on the DM’s discretion and a flat D20 roll.

•Attempting to see someone you know, such as a crewmate or a close friend tends to be more successful. If you are on good terms, the chance of success improves. On sucessful attempt, per the DM’s discretion, you can see through the persons eyes or observe in the 3rd person around the individual. This sight can also provide sound, depending on the success of the attempt. A strong success can even provide a link to the person where communication is possible.

•Attempting to see an adversary, someone you haven’t met or don’t know well is tricky. These attempts will, when successful, result in more of a snapshot of what that person sees, or a snapshot of a location they may be. All attempts made, both to see friend and foe, have a chance to be sensed by the person being seen. When rolling to see an adversary, the DM can roll against Jarvis and if the roll matches Jarvis’s roll or fails per the DM’s discretion, the person being seen will gain a sense that they are being watched, and that the power comes from the Goddess of Eyes.

•Attempting to see a location or an item depends on the familiarity you have with the location or item. Attempting to see a location you’ve studied about, have been to, or have seen pictures of tends to be more successful. Attempting to see an item you’ve touched, have used, or have knowledge of tends to be more successful. It is the DM’s discretion how you see the location or item.

•Attempting to use this ability to teleport to the person or location requires strong concentration and conviction. A flat roll will be asked by the DM for Jarvis to roll if a teleport attempt is made over long distances, such as teleporting to a different sea or an area you haven’t been. If you are teleporting to an area you haven’t been, or to an item you don’t know the true location of, just its immediate surroundings and room, you must roll a D20 and save against the DM’s designated saving throw. This applies to any teleportation spell used in conjunction with this ability.

•If the attempt to see is made on a pirate lord, or a God, the backfire can cause a mental link between Jarvis and the victim that can be dictated at the DM’s discretion.

•These rules do not apply to curse mark activation that occurs via DM activation.

• At level 14, you gain an extra charge of the sight ability, and the ability to add your charisma modifier to your rolls for this ability. You also gain any extra features determined by the DM.
