Prerequisite: Die an honorable death and refuse the Last Stand offering. Alternatively, choose a selfish option when brokering a deal with Morana, Goddess of Winter and Death.

At the death's door, when a soft voice of Morana offered a choice you reached for the Glass Apple (or selected yourself over your party when brokering a deal with Morana).

From this moment on your character is cursed and can no longer die by regular means. Until removal of the curse you are considered an Undead*. Your body feels like it exhausted every and all vitality and all that remains is a constant numb pain in your wounds. You no longer feel any hunger or need to sleep. Even the weakest of holy spells will inflict excruciating pain.

An Eternity, Bound: You're unable to directly decline Morana's requests and have a disadvantage on the rolls against her ("She is your master and you are but her puppet"). A black mark slowly appears on your body over the next 3 days which gives you access to 2 Necromancy cantrips.

*Gain resistance to Cold and Necrotic damage. Gain vulnerability to Radiant damage.

Your hit points are permanently set to 10% of your class's max HP and cannot be affected by any external spells or items. Gain double the value from temporary HP items and spells instead.

When downed, spend 3 turns stunned and prone while slowly recovering hp (1/3rd per turn). Upon getting up, your class abilities that require short and long rest are restored for the remainder of this encounter.

Unholy rebuke. When you're downed, anyone who hits you provokes a burst of Necrotic energy. Everyone within 2m must make a CON saving throw (DC: 13) or take 1d4 Necrotic damage (if target is immune to Necrotic, it takes Cold damage instead).

"Death has claimed you as her own. The curse has taken root and sooner or later you'll lose all sense of self and become a thrall to Morana and her whims. If you wish to remove such a curse, your only hope is a miracle. But heed my warning, do not take too long. Run as you like, you'll never escape the Winter.  "
