Covert Spellcasting

After many unpleasant run-ins with ignorant simpletons and superstitious brutes, you have learned to disguise your magical talents.

• Prerequisite: Level 4+
• Ability Score Increase. Increase your Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
• Parlor Tricks. You learn the Prestidigitation cantrip.
• Conceal Casting. When you cast a spell, you can disguise its verbal and somatic components as normal conversation and body movement. Others can notice the casting with a successful Wisdom (Insight) check (DC 15 + your Proficiency Bonus). If you are proficient in the Deception skill, others have Disadvantage on this roll. Characters with the Mage Slayer feat gain no benefit from that feat if they do not notice your spellcasting.
• Whispered Spell. When you cast a spell, you can whisper its verbal component. Others can hear your spellcasting with a successful Wisdom (Perception) check (DC 15 + your Proficiency Bonus). If you are proficient in the Stealth skill, others have Disadvantage on the roll.
• Cloaked Spell. When you cast a spell, you can muffle the signs of its physical manifestation.  Noticing the spell’s effects from more than 50 feet away (or double its area, if the spell effect is larger than this) requires a successful Wisdom (Perception) check (DC 15 + your Proficiency Bonus). If you are proficient in the Arcana skill, others have Disadvantage on the roll.
