-
-
Each creature yields Cuts based on its size:

Storage & Spoilage
-
Cuts spoil after 8 hours unless magically preserved.
-
You may carry up to Proficiency Bonus × 2 Cuts on your person.
Meal Preparation & Limits
All food must be prepared during a long rest. You must spend the listed time per meal in addition to 6 hours of sleep.
Meal Prep Limit
You may prepare up to a number of meals equal to your Proficiency Bonus during each long rest (not including a Feast).

Buff Rules
-
Only one of each meal type may be consumed per creature per day.

Diluted Power Rule (Weakened Effects for the DM)
The effects granted by meals are diluted echoes, not full powers of the devoured creature. When designing effects:
-
Immunities become advantage or limited use resistance
→ e.g. immunity to fear = advantage against fear for 1 minute -
Resistances become partial resistance
→ e.g. resistance to fire = reduce fire damage by 1d6 once or for duration -
Senses are scaled down
→ e.g. blindsight 60 ft = blindsight 10 ft
→ tremorsense 30 ft = tremorsense 10 ft -
Extra damage traits become flat bonuses or once-per-effect
→ e.g. multiattack = one extra attack on a turn, or +2d6 damage once -
Legendary or magical effects never transfer directly — instead, use flavourful interpretations (e.g. “phase step” becomes a 10 ft teleport once)
