Lycanthropy (Level 3) Image
Prerequisite: Lycanthropy (Level 2)

The moon’s grip tightens. Your body has learned to twist itself in monstrous ways, and the curse now manifests in full. You gain access to your true lycanthropic forms—wolf and hybrid—and the curse begins to transform your body and mind more dramatically.

Universal Form

Trait: Lunar Affliction.
You are now subject to the full weight of the curse. You lose the ability to activate Feral Surge. On nights during a full moon, you must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or involuntarily transform into your Wolf or Hybrid Form (your choice). You remain transformed until the moon sets or until you are rendered unconscious.
While transformed involuntarily, you act in accordance with your basest predatory instincts unless a party member succeeds on a DC 15 Charisma (Persuasion or Intimidation) check to focus your mind (once per transformation).

Trait: Superior Senses.
Your senses reach supernatural acuity. You gain darkvision out to 120 feet, and you have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks relying on smell. You add your proficiency bonus to these checks, even if you aren’t proficient.

Trait: Mettle of Man.
You must consume the flesh of a sentient humanoids to sustain yourself. If you attempt a long rest without having done so since the end of your most recent long rest, roll a d4 + X, where X equals the number of days since your last feeding.

  • On a result of 4 or higher, you do not gain the benefits of the long rest and instead suffer one level of exhaustion.

  • On a result of 7 or higher, you immediately transform into your Hybrid Form, compelled to seek out the nearest source of sentient flesh.

Trait: Resilient Mutation.
Your physical resilience deepens. Increase your maximum hit points by 1d6 + your Constitution modifier for each level of Lycanthropy you possess.

Hybrid Form

You can now transform into your Hybrid Form as an action. You remain in this form for up to 10 minutes. You can use this transformation once per long rest, or by expending one of your Hit Dice. While in Hybrid Form, you gain the following benefits:

Trait: Monstrous Strength & Hardened Hide
Your Strength score becomes 20, unless it is already higher, additionally your Constitution score becomes 18, unless it is already higher.

Trait: Vicious Bite.
You gain a bite attack as a melee weapon attack that uses your Strength modifier. On a hit, it deals 2d8 + your Strength modifier piercing damage.

  • If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become cursed with Lycanthropy (Level 1).

  • On a hit, you regain hit points equal to half the damage dealt.

Trait: Rending Claws.
When you take the Attack action, you can replace one of your attacks with a claw strike. If you do, you can use your bonus action to make an additional claw attack. Each claw is a natural melee weapon attack that deals 1d6 + 2 + your Strength modifier slashing damage on a hit.

Trait: Moon’s Resilience.
While in Hybrid Form, you gain:

  • Resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from non-silvered weapons.

  • Immunity to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical, non-silvered weapons.

Trait: Tough Hide
Your Armor Class becomes 17, unless it would be higher from Dexterity or worn equipment. You cannot benefit from shields or armor while transformed. Additionally, your equipment melds into your form and cannot be accessed, dropped, or used until you return to your base form. Magic items and soul-bound weapons are unaffected.

Wolf Form

You can now transform into your Wolf Form as an action. This form is quadrupedal, bestial, and instinct-driven—but you retain the ability to distinguish ally from foe. You can remain in Wolf Form for up to 10 minutes. You can use this transformation once per long rest, or by expending one of your Hit Dice.

While in Wolf Form, you gain all the features of your Hybrid Form, with the following changes:

  • You cannot speak, cast spells, or use tools.

  • Your bite attack gains advantage against prone creatures, and deals an additional 1d4 necrotic damage.

  • Your speed increases to 60 feet.

  • Your AC becomes 15 + your Dexterity modifier.

  • You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

  • You can track a creature by scent as if under the effects of the locate creature spell. This does not require concentration and only works on creatures you’ve seen before.
