You have glimpsed the fundamental truth of magic by reading an excerpt of the Nether Scrolls. Your understanding of the Acanus Fundare has given you a deep insight into casting spells at their highest potential. 

You learn a spell of your choosing at a level you can cast. If you cannot cast spells, you learn any 1st level spell of your choice and you may choose your spellcasting ability (Int/Wis/Cha), and can cast this spell once per dawn. 
Additionally, when casting a spell, you can choose to maximise its potential and if the spell can be upcast, it acts as if you cast it at 9th level. You can only do this once per dawn.
