Your upbringing in the hidden nomadic lifestyle of the Svirfneblin, the magic radiation of the Underdark, and the exposure to the various psychic creatures living there have improved your abilities to mentally protect yourself beyond what's normal for your species.
- Mental Fortitude: Your constant vigilance and mental preparedness within the magic of the Underdark have deepened your strength of will. You have resistance to Psychic effects and damage.
- Discerning Judgement: You have expertise on any saving throw made to resist charm effects, or any other effect to influence or control you unwillingly.
- Hidden Nature: You and everything you're carrying are considered to be permanently under the effects of a non-detection spell.
You can willingly choose to bypass any of these protections if you are aware of, and trust, the caster.
These abilities are innate, resulting of a combination between your conscious and subconscious mind and the very radiation that's a part of your being. While you're alive these effects cannot be permanently undone. Discerning Judgement is always functional as a result of your experience and upbringing, however Mental Fortitude and Hidden Nature are partially magical and can be suppressed temporarily, in these instances:
- Dispel Magic: If you (not your gear or anything you're carrying) are the target of a dispel magic, these abilities will be completely suppressed for 1 hour.
- Anti-Magic Fields: If you are exposed to an anti-magic field or a similar effect, these abilities will continue to function for you only (and not what you are carrying) until you exit the affected area, at which point they will resume full function.
- These effects can stack: Being the target of a dispel magic within (or before entering) an anti-magic field will suppress these abilities for the duration of the time in the field + 1 hour.
