The boon of rage is granted to Dragonborns who train under a master at the craft. This ability allows one to channel their rage into physical element and morph it to their will. You gain these abilities:
- True weapon mastery: You are able to change your rage into the form of any basic weapon type with the added ability to add 1d6 worth of d6 ([rage] damage) to the total. You may only do this if your party has taken a collective 27 damage since your last long rest.
- Breath weapon improvement: Once per long rest you may infuse rage into your breath weapon. This allows you to alter a myriad of attributes of your breath weapon, you may:
- Bend the beam in a different direction after it has been fired (this will count as a bonus action).
- Increase the damage of the beam by 1d4 per 3 feet shorter range. ([rage] damage)
- You may infuse your entire breath weapon into a weapon strike. Depending on the weapon type a beam will emanate from a successful strike no longer than 10 feet or shorter than 6 feet. The beam will do the damage of your breath weapon whereas the strike will do that plus weapon damage. The weapon strike should be rolled with advantage.
- Loathsome transformation: The user may use rage to coat their bodies in the shape of a true dragon. They may only change one part of their body at a time. This may be done 3 times per long rest. Different body parts come with different abilities:
- feet: Gain a charge attack that costs 10 feet of movement and will move the target 5 feet in a direction of your choice, base damage for this attack is 2d6, this attack will do 1d6 extra damage per 2 feet of extra movement used. if the target is in a straight path of you to a wall you may grapple the target if they are the same size as you.
- legs: Double your speed until the end of transformation.
- Torso: You may sprout wings and gain 45 feet fly speed.
- shoulders: you may use your body as a shield for others and block an attack meant for an ally taking only half the damage. You may use half the speed of your next turn to reach them.
- Arms: You may gain an unarmed attack that does a base damage of 3d6 + 1d4 per level.
- Hands: You may gain the ability to shoot a small jet of fire out of your hands doing 2d8 damage per turn charged, charging costs concentration.
- Head: Gain a free use of your breath weapon.
- Eyes: Gain 30 feet of true sight but lose all other vision. Gives disadvantage against ranged attacks.
- Ears: Gain an incredibly precise hearing ability.
- Mouth: Gain the ability to become incredibly convincing.
This ability may also be used out of combat. Consult your DM for more information.
