Prerequisite: Proficiency with polearms or other reach weapons

Your battlefield presence is so dominating that enemies hesitate to move, attack, or even look away from you. You combine sheer martial skill with a commander’s authority to lock enemies in your control.

  • Zone of Authority — When a creature within your reach attempts to move, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against it.

    • On a hit, its speed becomes 0 until the end of the current turn.

    • On a miss, its movement is reduced by half for the rest of the turn.

  • Commanding Threat — When you hit a creature with an opportunity attack, it also has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you until the start of your next turn.

  • Unyielding Presence — If a creature within your reach targets an ally with an attack or harmful spell, you can use your reaction (once per round) to force it to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Charisma modifier). On a failed save, the attack or spell must target you instead.
