Prerequisite: Proficiency with shields, Level 10+, Aegis of the Immortal Feat
1. Absolute Defense
-
While wielding a shield, you gain +12 AC in addition to the shield’s normal AC bonus and any magical bonuses.
-
You automatically block all ranged weapon attacks that target you (they miss without rolling).
-
You have resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing while holding a shield.
2. Perfect Guard Counter
-
Whenever you are attacked and the attack misses, you may immediately make a free melee or shield bash attack against the attacker.
-
This attack always hits.
-
Shield bash damage: 8d10 + STR modifier bludgeoning damage, and the target is pushed 30 feet and knocked prone.
3. Reflective Fortress
-
Any spell or ranged attack targeting you that misses is reflected back at the caster/origin, using their own attack roll and damage against them.
-
Area effects are unaffected unless they require an attack roll.
4. Punishing Guard
-
Any creature within 15 feet of you that hits you in melee automatically takes 8d8 force damage.
-
If they crit you, the damage is doubled and they must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Strength or Constitution modifier) or be stunned until the end of their next turn.
5. Ultimate Shield Surge (Once per long rest)
-
As an action, you slam your shield into the ground, creating a 60-ft radius shockwave.
-
All enemy creatures in range take 20d10 thunder damage + 20d10 force damage and are launched 40 feet into the air.
-
All structures and terrain in the radius take double damage.
-
You then gain +5 AC and immunity to all damage until the start of your next turn.
