Wayfarer’s Cartographer

You are skilled in keeping track of the lands you traverse, sketching maps, and recalling the details of places long after leaving them.

Benefits:

• You gain proficiency in Cartographer’s Tools. If you already have proficiency, you gain expertise, allowing you to add double your proficiency bonus to checks with them.
• You gain proficiency in Survival or Investigation (your choice).

Keen Pathfinding:

• Whenever you or your party have traveled through a region, you can automatically recall the general layout of landmarks, settlements, and natural hazards. You cannot become lost by nonmagical means in areas you have previously mapped.

Field Cartography:

• When you take a short or long rest, you can update your map of the region. If you do so, you and your allies gain advantage on the next Wisdom (Survival) or Intelligence (Investigation) check made to navigate, track, or search within that area within the next 24 hours.

Trusted Guide:

• If you provide your map to others and explain it, they count as traveling with a guide. At the DM’s discretion, NPCs or factions may treat your accurate maps as valuable goods, willing to barter or reward you for them.
