Prerequisite: Proficiency in mounted combat and access to a flying mount
You are a skilled aerial combatant, using your mount’s wings to gain a significant advantage in battles high above the ground. Choose two from the benefits below, you can take this feat multiple times to gain access to the remaining benefits.
Benefits:
Aerial Momentum: When your flying mount moves at least 20 feet in a straight line before you make a melee attack on your turn, you can add +1d8 damage to the attack. If you already have a feature like Charger, increase the bonus damage by 1d8 instead.
Stabilized Saddlework: You have advantage on checks and saving throws to avoid being dismounted or falling off your mount while airborne. If dismounted or if your mount is incapacitated in midair, you can make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw to safely redirect yourself and reduce any falling damage you take by half and land on your feet if you land within 30 feet.
Precision Volley: When making a ranged attack while mounted on a flying creature, you ignore disadvantage imposed by being in motion or at long range. Additionally, you ignore half cover and three-quarters cover if the target is below your mount’s elevation.
Defensive Bond: While you are mounted on a flying creature, it gains a +2 bonus to AC, and you both have advantage on saving throws against being knocked prone or restrained by environmental effects (such as wind gusts or magical vortexes).
