Prerequisite: A willing creature at least one size smaller than you can ride you; you choose to allow it. These benefits apply only while that creature is mounted on you.

You are trained to carry a rider into battle. While a willing creature at least one size smaller than you is mounted on you, that rider gains the following benefits:

  • Ride Advantage. The rider has advantage on attack rolls against any unmounted creature that is the same size or smaller than the mount.
  • We Ride Together. The rider roles no initiative, and has their turn after the mount's turn. The mount rolls initiative twice, and chooses which roll to use.
  • Ride or Hide. As an action while mounted on you, the rider designates you as their shield until the start of the rider’s next turn. For the duration, any attack that would target the rider targets the mount instead. In addition, the mount gains a bonus to AC equal to the rider’s proficiency bonus until the start of the rider’s next turn. This effect ends early if the rider dismounts, you become unwilling or incapacitated, or an attack cannot legally target you.
  • Rider’s Evasion. If your rider is subjected to an effect that allows a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, the rider takes no damage on a success and half damage on a failure.

These benefits end if the rider dismounts or you are unwilling to carry the rider. This feat does not change the normal rules for mounted combat; it simply grants the benefits above while you are serving as the mount.

Ability Score Increase. You increase your Strength, Dexterity or Wisdom by 1 (to a maximum of 20).
