You got exposed to magic in some way, granting you the following benefits:

You learn a 3rd-level spell. Using this feat, you can cast the spell once at its lowest level, and you must finish a long rest before you can cast it in this way again. You can also cast this spell using your spell slots.

Your spellcasting ability for this spell is Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma (choose when you select this feat).

Additionally, you receive a resistence to a certain type of damage, based on the school of magic the 3rd-level spell chosen from this feature comes.

Alternatively, when determining the resistance you receive with this feat, choose a type of damage (Excluding Bludgeoning, Piercing and Slashing) that most suits the 3rd-level spell you learned, you become resistant to that damage type
