Prerequisite: Requires a constitution score of 17 or less

Description:

Addiction is a trait that forces you to participate in a resistance roll whenever you smell, see, touch, taste, or hear an object or action you are addicted to. This resistance roll will have to be done every time you do not smell, see, touch, taste, or hear the object or action and smell, see, touch, taste, or hear it again after one turn. Addiction has 5 levels(known as ADL) each level having a progression (Known as ADP) to the next, each level determines how high you must roll to resist the addiction. If you were to fail the resist roll your character will indulge in the object or action (however, you can willingly indulge without needing to do a resistance role).

Levels & Progression

there are 5 ADL, each level increases the required dice roll to resist the addiction. ADP is used to progress through ADL and is acquired every time you indulge in that object or action.

  • 1 ADL: after you accumulate 5 ADP on an object or action you must roll a 10 or higher on a standard D20 dice to resist indulging.
  • 2 ADL: after you accumulate 6 ADP on an object or action at 1 ADL you must roll a 12 or higher on a standard D20 dice to resist indulging.
  • 3 ADL: after you accumulate 7 ADP on an object or action at 2 ADL you must roll a 14 or higher on a standard D 20 dice to resist indulging.
  • 4 ADL: after you accumulate 8 ADP on an object or action at 3 ADL you must roll a 16 or higher on a standard D20 dice to resist indulging.
  • 5 ADL: after you accumulate 9 ADP on an object or action at 4 ADL you must roll a 19 or higher on a standard T20 dice to resist indulging. Any ATP more then 2 ADP acquired at 5 ADL is ignored.

Acquirement

Addiction can be a acquired throughout the campaign through overconsumption, curses, or birth.

  • Overconsumption: when you consume any object or preform any action you will gain 1 ADP on your character (unless a object, action, or DM says otherwise)
  • Curses: in a curses description says +1 ADP or +1 ADL your character will gain the amount described. Additionally, if it is duration it will continuously added on until you have reached Max ADL until it will not do anything but it will not be removed. Furthermore, if the curse does not specify what addiction and increases it will increase A already present addiction or if your character doesn’t have an addiction, do nothing.
  • Birth: during character creation You can add addiction of any ADL and of any kind. This addiction will come to play at the very start of the campaign and can still be removed as the same way.
