Hailing from the realm of Ivalice in the harsh deserts of Kharadun. Yusef was once a humble Cloud Goliath. Old and seen as the elder to the warriors of his nomadic tribe. Given the ability to Twilight traveler. He had a strange fate befall him. Turning into the tiefling most travelers know him as. He now has the benefits and drawbacks of both. Living two lives, you are as wise as you are strong. Experiencing the realms from two different perspectives.
At the beginning of a quest, you choose which form you want to take. Either Goliath or Tiefling, once you choose, you cannot switch until the end of the quest. While in either form you gain a different set of abilities and drawbacks. Goliath: When you assume this form, you are the old elder that guides and supports. You have the following abilities.
-Creatures that you designate within 60ft of you gain advantage on all Intelligence or Wisdom checks and may add your character level as bonus to those checks.
-Whenever you use your action surge. You may instead have three creatures of your choice within 60ft of you immediately take an additional action and bonus action.
-Your Guile of the Cloud Giant now reads "When you see a creature that attacks you or another creature within 60ft. You may use your reaction to make that attack miss. If the attack is a saving throw. That creature automatically passes the save and doesn't take damage or status."
Detrimental Property (Goliath): Having such an old body means that you cannot move around as you once were able to. Your walking, flying and swim speed cannot go above 20, if it were to ever exceed that amount. You take 1 stack of exhaustion. Whenever you take the attack action on your turn. You can only every make a single attack without getting tired, if you attack more than once. You gain a stack of exhaustion per attack made. Lastly you must do 20 minutes of light activity every 3 hours. (Walking does not count.) If you do not you will receive 1 stack of exhaustion.
Tiefling: When you assume this form, you are the great warrior Yusef. The form most of your traveling companions know you as. Your fighting prowess has grown to reflect your newfound vigor. You gain the following abilities.
-At the start of combat you enter a focused state of zen where your attacks are empowered. Every time you land an attack you get a stack of Zen. Every stack grants you a bonus of 1 to your saving throws and AC. When you reach 12 stacks you deal max damage on your next attack as well as hitting unerringly before resetting all the stacks. Additionally at the start of combat you are under the effects of Spirit Shroud, Holy Weapon, Tenser's Transformation and Faust's Exalted Blade without concentration. Whenever you exit combat the spells automatically end any any stack of Zen you had disappears.
-Each time you successfully complete an attack action roll a 6 sided die, on a 5 or 6 you gain another attack action.
Detrimental Property (Tiefling): Being so powerful and skilled has its own drawbacks. After each of your turns you take damage equal to double your level. After 5 rounds of combat all healing you receive is negated. (Boons that say otherwise do not work on you.) You have disadvantage on all wisdom, intelligence and charisma checks and saving throws. Whenever you take damage equal to more than half of your maximum hp you suffer one round of lethargy.
