Luck and a keen eye for opportunity grant you the ability to turn a perfect roll into a truly devastating blow. Whenever you roll the maximum value on a die to determine damage or healing, you may choose one of the following options for that die:

1. Explode: Re-roll the same die and add the new value to the roll. This effect can repeat as long as you continue to roll the maximum value.

2. Cascade: Roll the next size of die (d4 to d6, d6 to d8, and so on) and add the new value to the roll. A d20 cannot cascade. This effect can repeat as long as you continue to roll the maximum value on each subsequent die.
When a die is rolled by a creature or effect to determine damage against you, and a maximum value is rolled, the Dungeon Master may choose to apply either the Explode or Cascade effect to the die.
This feat does not work when combined with any other effect that automatically maximizes the values of rolled dice.
