Knife Fighting

You’ve mastered the art of wielding small blades and developed unique techniques as a result. Choose one ability score between Dexterity, Wisdom, Intelligence, or Charisma and increase it by 1 up to a maximum of 20.

Additionally, when you wield a dagger in one or both hands, you gain access to the following abilities.

Pounce. Before you take the attack action and your movement speed is not 0, you may move up to 10 ft. in a direction of your choosing. If you hit a creature after taking this movement, you may additionally attempt to shove them (as if attempting a grapple) using your Dexterity in place of your Strength.

Wolfstooth. When a creature is unwillingly moved, you may flourish your knife outward in an unblockable swipe. The target of Wolfstooth must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + dexterityMod + proficiencyBonus), on a failure taking damage from your dagger as if they were vulnerable to all damage and on a success taking damage from your dagger as if they were resistant. Using this ability this way may be done an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus. Alternatively you may replace an attack with Wolfstooth once per round. Damage done using Wolfstooth does not add your ability modifier to the damage.

Hunting Stance. While wielding a dagger, you may choose at the start of your turn to enter a stance intended to counterattack. This stance lasts until the start of your next turn. Your AC is set to 0 while in this stance, and whenever you are hit by an attack you may as a reaction make a Dexterity saving throw with a DC equal to the to hit of the triggering attack. On a success you take half as much damage and immediately maneuver to the opposite side of the triggering creature, making an attack roll against them at advantage. Damage done using this reaction deals an additional amount of damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
