Those who survive the scorching flames of the Fire Trial earn the blessing of the burning path — a fragment of the eternal flame that tests resolve, courage, and rebirth. The covenant is a pact between your soul and the living flame — a promise that your spirit will never grow cold again. The fire recognizes you as its kin and answers your call in battle and spellwork alike.
Effects
-
Fireborn Resistance. You gain resistance to fire damage.
-
Flame Step. As a bonus action, you can wreath yourself in fire and teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. When you do, each creature within 5 feet of your starting position must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or take fire damage equal to your proficiency bonus. You can use this feature several times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
-
Burning Resolve. Whenever you deal fire damage with a weapon attack, spell, or ability, you may add 1d8 fire or radiant damage. You choose the damage type each time you use this feature.
