Trial Blessings: Blessing Of The Eternal Soul Image
Prerequisite: Completion of the Spirit Trial on the Witches’ Road

Those who complete the Spirit Trial have walked the thin line between life and death, carrying with them the gentle touch of the departed. The bond of love and memory becomes their armor, and the will of those who hold them dear becomes their weapon.

Effects:

  • Soulbound Fortitude. You gain resistance to necrotic and psychic damage, and you can’t be possessed or charmed by undead or spirits.

  • Ethereal Renewal. Once per long rest, when you drop to 0 hit points, your spirit briefly leaves your body, appearing as a glowing, misty form.
You remain conscious and can move up to 15 feet per turn, though you can’t attack or cast spells in this state.
At the start of your next turn, your body reforms where your spirit stands, regaining 2d8 + your proficiency bonus hit points.
When you reform, a pulse of spiritual energy heals allies within 10 feet for 1d8 hit points.
Any creature that makes contact with your spirit before you reform must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or suffer disadvantage on their next attack roll or saving throw, as the chill of the grave runs down their spine.

  • Spirit Echo. When you deal radiant, necrotic, or psychic damage with a spell or weapon attack, an ethereal image of someone who holds you dearly manifests beside you, striking alongside your attack. The echo deals an additional 1d8 damage of the same type.
Against undead, this extra damage ignores resistance and immunity.
