"I die for glory.
I die for honor.
I die, but my name lives in the drumbeat
and in the blood that stains the banners."Marshal Executioner Lavigne, of the Southern Dominance Garrison.
Through sheer intellect, unrelenting control, and cold, imperial clarity, your will has risen to rule more than your own body. Your allies obey as if possessed. Enemies of the Empire stumble over their own instincts, unable to comprehend, what stands before them.
This is not strategy.
This is conquest, played one mind at a time.
This, is the will, of the Lord Ruler.
Your Strategist Command’s enhances, allowing you to learn, and adapt to your opponents around you; slowly nullifying their capabilities, to conform towards your strategy. Your Strategist's Command ability no longer consumes the target's reaction, can be used more than once a turn, and triggers whenever you take the Help action, in addition to your normal means.
When you use Strategist’s Command, the options that can be chosen to it expand to the following, and can be used subsequent to eachother: the Attack/Multiattack action (can only make 1 attack, if used on an ally), both the Dash and Disengage action, the Hide action, the Ready action, the Utilise action, a bonus action, or lair/legendary actions.
The following extra abilities become available to you, upon using Strategist's Command. You may only trigger one of them per usage of the ability, and they must be in range of your base Strategist’s Command ability.
Émissaire de l’Orthodoxie: When you use strategists command, you may select a steel ministry member beyond the first creature targeted provided they meet the requirements. Both creatures come under the effect of your Strategist's Command, and may use the other creature's actions from the selection in place of their own, as if the other creature had used it (including expending that creature's resources if any) from their own position. To qualify, the additional creature must be either a Steel Ministry PC, NPC or pet signed up to the faction with a rank equal or lower to yourself, be on the same plane as you, and be willing when the effect occurs.
Le Sacrifice du Commandeur: When you would be targeted by an effect, die, or reduced to zero hit points, you may utilize your reaction to immediately invoke Strategist's Command on a member of the Steel Ministry currently on the quest. If that creature is willing, they become the target of the effect, attack, or die, instead of yourself. This ability can only be used once a round.
La Manœuvre du Conquérant: Your strategy no longer extends to just yourself and your allies, but also to those who would stand against you. When you use your Strategic Command ability, you may also target a hostile creature, forcing them to make a Wisdom Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC. On a failed save, rather than immediately taking an action, you may choose an action from the list, that the targeted creature loses access to, for 24 hours. On a successful save, the creature may choose an action from the list, that it loses access to for 24 hours. This ability can only trigger once a round.
Le Pari de l’Empereur: At the start of your turn, you may choose to sacrifice your entire turn, to immediately trigger Strategic Command. When triggered in this way, you may select an allied creature, and roll a d6. On a 1, nothing happens. On a 2-3, the creature can immediately take an action. On a 4-5, the creature can immediately take an action or bonus action. On a 6, they may immediately take a turn.
However, in addition to these benefits above, as a noble born beneath the Lord Ruler's Empire, your magical potential, has permanently been limited, by the divine decree of his Domain. You are incapable of ever learning any spells outside of the Divination school of magic - and your pursuit in life, has left you, with a permanent, lingering madness, that can never be removed: “I obsessively plan ahead and seek to reshape the future.”
