You have contracted vampirism from a Vesper vampire, which has advanced to a stage at which you are a full-blown vampire. Your blood has thinned, and your body is weaker for it, but the power within you more than makes up for it. You gain several new abilities and weaknesses, shown below:

  • Gain a vulnerability to fire and radiant damage
  • A vampire must feed on the blood of another at least once a week, otherwise they will become blood-starved. A blood-starved vampire has disadvantage on CHA checks, gains the poisoned condition while in sunlight, and suffers a level of exhaustion for every week they fail to feed. These detriments are removed once the vampire feeds again on a sufficient volume of blood
  • Gain a resistance to necrotic and poison damage, as well as an immunity to disease
  • Gain proficiency in CON saves while not blood-starved

In addition to these traits, a Vesper vampire also gains a special ability: the power to cast enchantment spells without the target becoming aware of the enchantment. For example, the spells Charm Person, Fast friends, and Suggestion all come with the stipulation that the target is aware they were charmed; as a Vesper vampire, this stipulation is removed. This ability can be used once a day and resets on a long rest.

As a turned vampire, you have the ability to turn others by infecting them with your blood. This process can be deadly if used on an unwilling target, and even if it is successful, the resulting creature will be a vampire spawn, not a full-blown vampire. This spawn will not necessarily be subservient to its turner, but a degree of control can be exerted over them. A spawn can make a wisdom save against its turner's spell save DC to resist their control, at advantage if they were turned unwillingly. If successful, the spawn is free to act independently, and if unsuccessful, the spawn will be under the effects of the Suggestion spell.
