Prerequisite: None
There is an ancient power buried deep within your bloodline — an echo of forgotten bargains and old magic. It stirs whenever words are exchanged and shadows gather, lending an uncanny weight to your presence.
You gain the following benefits:
-
Whispers of the Deal.
When you make a Persuasion, Deception, or Insight check related to a bargain, trade, or agreement, you can choose to gain advantage on the roll. When you use this feature, you may hear a faint whisper at the edge of your awareness, or catch a flicker of something unseen in the corner of your eye.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. -
Darkvision.
You gain darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already have darkvision, its range increases by 30 feet. -
Innate Magic.
You learn the thaumaturgy cantrip. You can also cast charm person once per long rest without expending a spell slot. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for these spells. -
Subtle Magic.
Whenever you cast a spell granted by this feat, creatures must succeed on a Perception check (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier) to notice that you are the source of the magic. The spell’s effects manifest in quiet, understated ways — a faint chill, a flicker of shadow, or soft whispers — rather than overt incantations or gestures.
