The challenges and struggles you've faced as a Witcher have lead you to learning a deep understanding of creatures and their movements. You gain a number of hunter tokens equal to your proficiency bonus. The hunter dice are D8's. You can only use one hunter die per turn. Once rolled the hunter dice is spent.

You can roll a hunter die under the following circumstances, with the indicated result:

When you deal damage to a creature, spend one hunter die to deal extra damage to the creature equal to the roll.

When attacked by a creature, spend one hunter die as a reaction to reduce damage taken equal to the roll.

When struck by a spell with a saving DC, spend one hunter die to add to the saving DC equal to the roll.

When striking a creature, spend two hunter die to Witcher smite, (Witcher smite: in a moment of pure clarity the Witcher spots the most opportune moment to strike, the Witcher can strike up to three targets surrounding him within 5ft x 15ft).

You regain all spent hunter die after a long rest.
