Those born under the Atronach are blessed with the ability to absorb Magicka, but their bodies do not regenerate it naturally.
Ability Score. Increase your Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
Passive — Spell Absorption.
When you succeed on a saving throw against a spell that deals damage, you reduce the damage by an amount equal to your Constitution modifier and gain temporary hit points equal to your Proficiency Bonus.
Active — Magicka Conversion.
When your Spell Absorption feature reduces damage from a spell, you can use your Reaction to draw that energy into yourself.
When you do, you regain one expended spell slot of a level equal to half the spell’s level (rounded down, minimum 1).
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Short or Long Rest.
Drawback — Stilled Magicka.
Your inner Magicka is slow to recover. When you finish a Short Rest, you regain only half the number of spell slots you normally would (rounded down).
This does not affect class features or items that explicitly restore spell slots, such as Arcane Recovery or Pearl of Power.
