Calston has learned to attune his magic to subtle vibrations of the world, allowing him to manipulate, stabilize, or resonate magical energies with precision.

Benefits:

  1. Weave Synchronization:
  2. When you cast a spell that requires concentration, you may roll Arcana (DC 12) as a bonus action.
    • Success: The spell automatically maintains concentration even if you take damage, or you gain advantage on the next Constitution saving throw to maintain concentration.
    • Failure: Nothing happens, but you sense a subtle feedback from the weave, granting +1 to your next Arcana check related to magical resonance.
  3. Echo Amplification:
  4. Once per short or long rest, when casting a spell using a spellcasting focus, you may roll d6 + Arcana modifier:
    • 5 6: The spell is echoed, allowing you to cast it again immediately at the same level without expending a spell slot.
    • 1 4: The echo fizzles harmlessly; you feel the weave’s backlash, and you must succeed on a Constitution save DC 12 or take 1d4 force damage.
  5. Harmonic Intervention:
  6. When interacting with magical devices, constructs, or harmonic relics (like the Harmonic Chain or a Bell), you may roll Arcana or Insight (DC 14) to stabilize or recalibrate them.
    • Success: The device becomes fully attuned to your magic, granting you +2 to spell attack rolls or saving throw DCs for 1 hour.
    • Failure: The device emits unstable pulses, forcing creatures within 10 ft. to make a Dexterity save DC 12 or take 1d6 force damage.
  7. Optional Flavor:
  8. You may spend 10 minutes attuning to a magical site or artifact. Roll Arcana DC 16 to gain insight into its latent abilities.
    • Success: You can cast a single prepared spell as a ritual from this site without using a spell slot.
    • Failure: You are overwhelmed by residual magic, suffering disadvantage on the next spellcasting roll.
