Prerequisite: Finish reading a book found or bought.
You have become proficient in Survival. This includes the very basics of:
- Tracking (under simple conditions)
- Foraging food (what is poisonous and what is not)
- Hunting wild game (mostly small game)
- Protecting yourself from weather/terrain hazards such as sunburn and mosquitoes
- Finding water
- Determining which way is north
- Simple methods to avoid getting lost
- Making a decent campsite
You have spent some time reading a book, or several books, that might teach your character a basic skill. You know the basics of a skill, to the point that you feel you can accomplish the tasks associated with it. However, this is purely book knowledge and doesn't teach you about things that a person does not normally encounter.
