You always have the Detect Magic spell prepared. You can cast it once without a spell slot and you regain the ability to cast it that way every Long Rest. In addition, whenever you cast the Detect Magic spell you gain the ability to percieve magic even through the obstacles between you and the magic effects you can sense and the range of the spell is raised to 45 feet of yourself.
