Touched by the Moon

The Crooked Moon’s gaze has brushed your soul, leaving behind a shimmer of silver power and an echo of laughter that is not entirely your own.

Whether you were chosen, cursed, or simply watched too long beneath the Moon’s crooked light, you’ve been changed by it. Reflections follow you. Dreams bend around you. And when the moon rises, something deep within you stirs.

Ability Score Increase.
Increase your Wisdom or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

Moonlight Blessing.
You carry a fragment of the Crooked Moon’s power. When bathed in moonlight (natural or magical), you gain a faint shimmer across your skin or reflection, and once per long rest, you can invoke this power to gain one of the following benefits for 1 minute:

  • You gain advantage on Wisdom (Insight), and Charisma (Persuasion or Deception) checks made against fey, or other Moonmarked creatures.
  • You emit dim, silvery light in a 10ft radius. You can suppress, or activate this light as a bonus action.
  • You have resistance to Psychic Damage.

You can use this feature if any reflective surface nearby (mirror, water, glass) shows the moon’s glow.

Moon’s Glimmer (Cantrip).
You learn the Thaumaturgy cantrip, but its effects manifest as lunar distortions — shifting reflections, distant laughter, and ripples of pale light.
At your DM’s discretion, you may instead learn Minor Illusion or Druidcraft if they better suit your moonmark.
Your spellcasting ability for this cantrip is Wisdom or Charisma (choose when you gain this feat).

Reflection Sense.
You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to detect illusions, or hidden fey creatures influenced by the Crooked Moon.
If you look into a reflective surface for at least 13 seconds, you can ask a single question. Once per long rest, the reflection may subtly respond — with a flicker, a phrase, or a sound that guides you toward truth.

Moon Madness Resistance.
You have advantage on saving throws against effects that would cause you to become charmed, frightened, or driven to madness.
If you fail such a saving throw, you may choose to succeed instead — but doing so leaves you Moonstruck until your next long rest: during this time, your reflection occasionally moves on its own, and the DM may describe strange whispers or laughter only you can hear.

At Higher Levels.
At 9th level, you can use your Moonlight Blessing twice per long rest.
At 15th level, the dim light radius of your blessing increases to 20 feet, and you gain immunity to psychic damage from illusions or fey laughter.
