Posted Feb 11, 2026Great feat. Seems useful and balanced, and fills a hole from the player's handbook.
Only critique: "When you take the attack action, you choose which of the two Weapon Mastery properties to apply before you roll the attack." uses language that only makes sense if the Attack action is only granting one attack. If a character has the Extra Attack class feature, do they make this choice only once at the start of the Attack action, and it applies to all attacks from that action? Or can they change it between attacks? If the latter, maybe it would be better written as:
"When you make an attack as part of the Attack action, before you make the attack roll, choose which of the two Weapon Mastery properties to apply to that attack."
Either way, very cool feat.

Posted Feb 12, 2026Thank you! Your wording definitely makes more sense for what I intended. I really love the weapon mastery system, so I wanted to try to expand on it in a way that made sense. Anything to give Martials more versatility in combat is good in my book.
Are you alright if I replace my current wording with what you wrote?
