~ Sariff was fortunate his familiar was paying attention because he was absolutely exhausted trying to find a small cave tucked into the jagged peaks surrounding Icewind Dale. Ozzy circled above him, the tiny bat struggling to move in its chosen direction with the howling winds attempting to push both through the frozen rock. "Giants close! 10 steps!" echoed though Sariff's mind as Ozzy connected briefly before diving back to the relative warmth and shelter of his hood. The minor comfort was short-lived as Sarriff dove into the nearest drift, quickly covering his awkward entry point using his snowshoes, just like his mother taught him all those winters ago. Moments later, several firbolgs lumbered around the blind corner, barely five feet from the pair, sniffing the air in frustration as a potential warm meal seemed to disappear from the mountain and their bellies. ~
