Whether your stronghold is a keep, monastery, guildhall, workshop, or hidden refuge, you know how to ensure it thrives even while your travels take you far from home. You gain the following benefits.
Bastion Event Insight
When the DM rolls on the Bastion Events table for your Bastion, the DM rolls twice and you choose which result is applied. You make this choice after hearing both results.
Bastion Efficiency
Reduce the gold cost of all Bastion-related expenditures by 20 percent. This reduction applies to any cost the DM determines to be part of your Bastion’s construction, crafting, repair, upgrades, operations, or development.
Bastion Sending Stones
You gain a unique pair of Bastion Sending Stones. These function as a matched pair of Sending Stones with the following properties:
• One stone is permanently bound to a central room or command space within your Bastion.
• The other stone remains in your possession.
• Each stone allows its holder to send a single 25-word message once per day to the holder of the other stone, and the recipient can immediately reply with a message of the same length.
• If either stone is lost or destroyed, the pair re-forms in their original locations at the end of your next long rest.
• Only you and trusted members of your Bastion can activate these stones.
These stones create dependable two-way communication between you and your Bastion staff, allowing you to issue orders, receive reports, and remain connected to the affairs of your stronghold no matter how distant your adventures take you.
