You pause to prepare to attack rapidly with instinct, stretching out to those further away who think they can let their defenses down.
Whenever you take the Ready action, you may choose to prepare to make a number of additional Opportunity Attacks without using up your reaction, up to your Dexterity modifier (minimum 1). If you do, your non-Reach melee weapons gain the Reach property until the start of your next turn (if they already have this property, the range becomes 10 feet). Once you use a Ready action this way, you cannot use it this way again until you next roll initiative.
